5 More Things to Know about the DEC 2.0
Posted by Julia Marshall on Sunday, May 13, 2012 at 11:02:04 AM EDT | 0 Comments

DEC 2.0, which updates the current  Development Experience Clearinghouse (DEC) site, is rolling out to the public with a  stunning new home page, stronger search capability, more electronic records, and the ability to tag and rate those records, which translates to faster and more productive searches offering more high-quality results.

Here are five more things you need to know about the new site.

1) It's available to the public.

Now everyone can see the new DEC 2.0 at https://dec.usaid.gov.

2) Yes! You can submit your documents to the DEC 2.0!

And what's even better, once you submit your documents - you will see them immediately.

3) You can comment and tag on documents - and so can people outside of USAID.

So all of USAID's implementing partners can join in the conversation along with the rest of the international development community.

4) More than ever, the DEC needs user input to continue to improve.

We need everyone in the Agency to contribute documents and other intellectual objects, comment and tag documents that are already in the DEC, participate in forums and post blogs. If you have any questions on how to do any of these things, please e-mail the DEC Webmaster at decwebmaster@usaid.gov.

5) Finally, we have some nifty things planned for the near future, including a searching applet that lets you view search results on a map.

So stay tuned!
