Introducing the New Fusion Search Appliance! 

The Development Experience Clearinghouse (DEC) is improving user experience with the introduction of the the Fusion Search Appliance (FSA), which provides more accurate results in a shorter amount of time. The FSA replaces the Google Search Appliance (GSA). 

The following items have been fixed: 

• DOCID Search - Users can search for artifacts using a document identification number (DOCID). DOCIDs must be submitted using the required system format.

• Publication Date Filter - Users can filter search results by individual publication date. The system will default to display the first six (6) publication date facets by year (i.e. 2014, 2015, 2016, etc.) based on search results. Users can expand the publication date facets to view more and filter down to additional desired results. A facet can be deselected by clicking its title in order to display all the results without the facet applied. 

The following items are under construction to update functionality and will be available in the DEC soon: 

• Retrieving Collections from Fusion - Collections are not searchable at this time via the simple search. Please use the DEC Power Search to access collections at this time. 

• Broadening Search to Include Other Content Types - At this time the simple search only returns documents. Please use the DEC Power Search to access videos, images, and audio files. 

• Existing Collection Links Produce Errors - The existing collection URL links are not accessible at this time via Fusion. The DEC is in the process of updating these links. Please access the DEC Power Search or email the DEC at ksc@usaid.gov for assistance.
