Peer Reviewed Journal Articles - Blog Post

Image Rotator & Blog Title: Learn how to access USAID's Peer Reviewed Publications collection

The Development Experience Clearinghouse (DEC) now offers a collection of over 21,000 peer reviewed journal articles. The collection includes articles detailing research that the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) funded in 50+ regions/countries around the world and across multiple sectors of work.

The DEC record for each peer reviewed journal article includes useful information such as author(s), an abstract, a creative commons license, series publication, and a digital object identifier (DOI). It also directs users to additional information about the article on the publisher’s website.

The following options detail how to access peer reviewed journal articles in the DEC.

  1. Peer Reviewed Publications button - The button at the bottom of the DEC home page labeled Peer Review will take you directly to the list of articles in this collection.

  2. Simple Search - Using the simple search option, users can review the collection of peer reviewed journal articles. Viewers can then  sort by sectors or countries/regions. Access simple search results here

  3. Power Search - Browse the collection of peer reviewed journal articles using the DEC Power Search in order to sort results by publication year, most recent, relevance, etc. Access DEC power search results here

  4. DEC API - Complete a simple form to receive a report (via emal) that lists all peer reviewed journal articles contained in the DEC. API requests require a valid email address in order to deliver the report and a search query string that indicates the type of information requested.  To obtain a list of peer reviewed journal articles use the search query string 'peerreviewedpublications'
